1．本书内容及知识结构本书共分3篇，第1篇为Mastercam二维绘图，第2篇为Mastercam三维造型，第3篇为Mastercam数控加工。其中，第1篇是Mastercam三维造型和数控加工的基础，只包含第1章，第2篇包含第2章和第3章，第3篇则包含第4～10章。各章的主要内容简述如下。

第1章首先介绍二维图形绘制与编辑涉及的主要知识点，然后分别介绍二维图形绘制范例和典型零件图绘制范例。

第2章首先介绍曲面设计的主要知识点，如曲面的创建方法、曲面编辑和空间曲线应用等；接着介绍若干简单曲面的绘制实例，包括五角星曲面、扭杆曲面和药壶曲面造型；然后介绍若干复杂曲面的绘制实例，包括特殊鼠标曲面、叶片曲面、玩具车轮曲面、纯净水瓶子整体曲面和烟灰缸曲面造型。

第3章首先介绍三维实体设计的主要知识，如创建基本实体/基础实体、实体布尔运算和实体编辑等，然后通过范例的形式介绍三维实体设计的应用知识。

第4章主要通过范例的形式来介绍Mastercam X9系统中的二维加工功能，主要包括外形铣削加工范例、平面铣削加工范例、挖槽铣削加工范例、钻孔铣削加工范例、全圆路径加工范例和雕刻加工范例等。

第5章介绍线架加工的几个典型范例。
