Book Abstract

家长也是普通人，并不是说从孩子出生的那天起，他们就自动成为领导者。他们应该明白，一位优秀的领导者是很会把握时机的：他们寻找机会，等到确定孩子会认真倾听时，再对他们进行说教。当孩子犯错误时，父母会走到近前做他们的支柱。他们的帮助能使受惊的孩子战胜恐惧感和罪恶感，同时又达到了最佳的教育效果。
前不久，我看到一位和谐家庭中的母亲，她很有技巧又很人性化地处理了这样一件事。她有两个儿子，一个5岁一个6岁，有一天看到两个孩子正扭打在一起，她很冷静地将他们分开，拉着他们的小手让他们坐在自己的两边，耐心地听他们讲到底是怎么一回事。这个过程中，母亲一直握着两个孩子的手。她也会不时地问个问题，最后终于弄明白了，原来是弟弟从哥哥的盒子里拿了一枚一角的硬币。在听了两个孩子诉说了自己的委屈后，她让弟弟把硬币还给哥哥，使得两人重归于好。而且，通过这种建设性的解决问题的方式，也给孩子们上了有意义的一课。
