首先，对莱因的存在精神病学思想进行系统梳理和体系建构。莱因是心理学和精神病学领域中一位比较有争议的人物，其思想缺乏系统性。本书通过深入分析莱因思想的发展历程，对莱因的思想进行系统的建构。从莱因的个人生活背景出发，系统介绍莱因的思想来源、莱因的存在精神病学思想、人际知觉理论、对精神分裂症患者家庭的研究以及莱因对社会的批判，同时对莱因与反精神病学运动之间的关系也进行深入的分析和讨论，并对其思想进行全面、客观的评价。
其次，通过深入挖掘莱因思想深蕴，结合我国当前的精神病学研究现状，找到可以借鉴和学习之处．精神病属于一类特殊的疾病，对于精神病人的诊断、治疗、预防和控制都逃脱不了特殊的伦理和道德问题。病人一旦被诊断为患有精神病，如何对待病人，如何对其进行治疗都与医生对精神病以及精神病人的理解程度有关。在这个方面，莱因的思想有很多可取之处了。通过系统梳理和评述理莱因的思想，以期推动国内相关领域专业人士对精神病及精神病人的理解。

Author Description

王蕾，吉林伊通人，1981年生，华东师范大学心理学博士生。先后在《南京师大学报》等刊物上发表论文多篇，合著《存在精神病学：菜因研究》，参译《心理学史：观点与背景》、《存在：精神病学和心理学的一种新方向》、《儿童心理学手册》和《学习理论》等，参编《潜意识的意义一精神分析心理学》（上）、《外国心理学家评传》、《弗洛伊德主义新论》等。

一、精神分析学思想的影响
（一）弗洛伊德
西格蒙德·弗洛伊德（Freud Sigmund，1856～1939）是奥地利的精神分析运动的创始人。作为精神分析学之父，他是后来一切精神分析思想的源泉和基础。当论及对莱因的影响时，几乎不可能忽略弗洛伊德对莱因的巨大影响。可以这样说，凡是在精神分析或精神病学领域受过正规训练的人都深受弗洛伊德的影响，莱因当然也不例外。尽管莱因受萨特的影响最大也最直接，但弗洛伊德对莱因的影响却是最深远、最广泛的。弗洛伊德对莱因既有直接影响又有间接影响。弗洛伊德使精神分析成为一个独立的学术领域，莱因作为该领域中的一员，毫无疑问受到弗洛伊德的直接影响；此外，弗洛伊德的思想还渗透到心理学及相关学科领域，因此必然影响那些塑造莱因思想的人，从而对莱因产生了间接的影响。
在莱因的第一部著作《分裂的自我》中，有一段清楚地说明了莱因对弗洛伊德的崇拜。他说：“迄今为止，最伟大的精神病理学家是弗洛伊德。他是一位英雄，他进入了‘潜意识的世界’，在那里遇到了彻底的恐怖；他随身带去的理论就像美杜莎的头，把这些恐怖变为石头。
