Author Description

黄全愈，旅美教育学家。生于柳州，1982年获文学学士学位，1988年赴美国讲学。1989年获美国维拉诺瓦(Viliarlova)大学“人的组织与管理科学”理学硕士学位，1993年获美国迈阿密(Miami)大学“教育管理学”哲学博士学位。现任迈阿密大学孔子学院院长、中山大学客座教授。在中、美、英等国以及港台地区出版了20多部中英文论著、译著和词典，发表了上百篇学术论文。
在迈阿密大学荣获“重大影响奖”，并被提名为杰出教授。

Book Abstract

这一节着重谈的是培养孩子的创造性问题。作为家庭教育的内容来说，培养创造性仅是其中一部分。虽然这不是一本关于家庭教育的专著，为了便于结构全书，家庭教育的专章占的篇幅很小，但其他章节所谈及的例子和内容，基本都可以用于家庭教育中的天赋教育。同样道理，家庭教育谈及的例子和内容，如培养孩子的创造性等，也完全适用于学校教育。
“天赋教育"就是“素质教育”
前面我曾提到：天赋天赋，上“天”之“赋”予也。因此，“天赋”谁都有，多寡而已。当我们把“天赋”看做每个人“先天的潜能”，天赋教育就是素质教育——通过教育的过程，把孩子的天赋或潜质最大限度地发挥出来。
孩子的天赋或者说潜能会体现在很多方面。但是，创造性思维是孩子的生命力。当一个人的创造性思维停止了，这个人就开始衰老。这种“衰老”并不一定指生理方面，“衰老”也可以体现在心理方面。因此，孩子也会“衰老”。
父母对孩子创造能力的发展有很大的关系。不少读者很感兴趣地问我：富有创造性的孩子都有些什么样的父母？
