第一节国际贸易的产生和发展
一、国际贸易的产生
贸易就是商品的交换，它是一定历史条件下的产物。一般说来，贸易的产生需要具备两个基本条件，一是剩余产品，二是私有财产制度。从根本上讲，社会生产力的发展、社会分工的出现和扩大，是促进贸易发展的根本动力。而国际贸易是国家或地区间（有形或无形）商品的交换，它也是伴随着国际分工的出现和世界市场的形成而产生和发展起来的。
国际贸易的产生是与人类历史上三次社会大分工密切相关的。第一次社会大分工是畜牧业从其他部落中分离出来。牲畜的驯养和繁殖使生产力得到了发展，产品开始出现剩余，部落和氏族公社之间便开始了最早的、极其原始的、偶然的物物交换（barter）。随着生产力的不断发展，特别是农业和畜牧业对手工业发展的推动，技艺越显复杂的手工业开始从农业中分离出来，于是出现了人类社会的第二次大分工。手工业的出现，产生了直接以交换为目的的商品生产。随着商品生产数量的不断增多和交换范围的不断扩大，为解决交易的困难，作为一般等价物的原始货币得以产生，于是商品交换就逐渐变成了以货币为媒介的商品流通。随着商品货币关系的发展，产生了专门从事贸易的商人，于是出现了人类社会的第三次大分工。生产力的发展，交换关系的扩大，加速了私有制的产生和阶级的形成，从而使原始社会日趋瓦解。进入奴隶社会初期，由于阶级矛盾形成了国家。国家出现以后，当商品交换超出国界时，就产生了国际贸易。
二、国际贸易的发展
（一）奴隶社会和封建社会前期的国际贸易
在奴隶社会，生产仍然是以自给自足的自然经济为特征。以主要满足消费为目的的生产使得用于交换的商品数量有限；尽管手工业和商品生产出现，但社会生产力水平低下和生产技术落后，加之交通工具简陋，道路不畅，自然条件恶劣，国际贸易只是在小范围内进行，其规模和内容都受到了很大限制，这时从事国际贸易的国家主要有腓尼基、希腊和罗马等。
