Book Abstract

5月31日，《金粉世界》进行最后一场演出，几天后，奥黛丽和汉森共赴巴黎度假。由于《金粉世界》太晚闭幕，两人决定延后婚期，从6月改到9月底，拍完《罗马假日》再进行。6月12日，奥黛丽直接从巴黎转赴罗马，汉森回到伦敦和多伦多工作。每个人都认定，这桩婚事一定会在秋天奥黛丽展开《金粉世界》全美巡演之前举行。

尽管奥黛丽尚未到过好莱坞，《罗马假日》却已经算是她的第一部美国影片——因为该片是美国电影公司出资，而且奥黛丽是和美国公司签约演出。派拉蒙之前在意大利赚了些钱，但意大利政府已经冻结外国资金，确保意大利工人在战后有工作机会。《罗马假日》全片都在意大利拍摄，内景是在意大利规模最大、设备最齐全的电影制片厂电影城拍的。
