吴秀波，演员，1968年9月5日出生于北京。毕业于中央戏剧学院表演系。曾做过歌手、电视剧监制、音乐编辑、商人等。1996年发行专辑《爱之战》，于2002年回归表演。2010年凭借《黎明之前》一举成名后，2012年主演的《心术》再成热播大剧。此外，主演的《请你原谅我》《兄弟门》《道可道》《相思树》《嫁衣》《剑谍》等，都得到观众的喜爱与认可。

我不“善于”与人为敌，我是个挺“圆滑”的人，我用比较安全的方式来达到我的目的。
我是一个随波逐流的人，所处的年代是和平而安全的，父母又是双职工，都有收入，所以从小就没有风险意识，也不认为丧失了一份工作，会面临多大的生活灾难。时间倒回十几年，我也是个“八〇后”，其实每个人都有过这种状态。
如果有一百个人，我一定是最后那三十个人之一，我一无是处，生活中没有什么特别的。
我是一个挺笨的人，挺简单的人，在现实中其实做什么都不是很利落，不善于跟人交流。有的时候，我觉得自己像一只爬上火车的蜗牛。因为恰巧有这样一个行业，能把表演变成跟其他人沟通的方式，所以我被大家认可了。
小的时候，我也是一个心灵“弱小”的人，不会期盼有奇迹发生--自己会变得多么强大。所以总是希望周边的环境会越来越好，总希望放眼看去全是好人、好人和更好的人。慢慢大了你会发现，你可以做那个你希望的人。
小的时候下学回家，家里就我一个人，脖子上挂一把钥匙，走来走去，没人交流。晚上听父母在吵架，我基本上把自己反锁在屋里，觉得很无助。每天父母不在家的时候就是我最快乐的时候。我完完全全就在另外一个世界里。瞎想。听《岳飞传》那段时间，每次睡觉前我都想象自己骑着马，拿着那杆长枪，走在荒野上。只有在那个时候我才觉得，那是我的世界，因为他们都睡了。
长大以后我还是那个活在自己世界里的人。只是现在偶尔出来走走，还走在一个特安全、特招摇的地方，那个地方叫舞台。我是一个“壁垒森严”的人，挺禁锢的一个人，所以生活里我天性特别不容易解放。可能就是因为生活中这种状态太多了，天性的好多侧面有对自由的渴望和挣扎。突然间有一个地方告诉我：放心吧，这儿安全。全是假的。拍戏的时候这些东西就全出来了，放出了一百零八将，飞出去的全是魔鬼。

那时候没有“外交官”这个词；那时候如果你爸是熟食店卖肉的，別人会觉得很厉害。我父亲可能拥有的是知识和文化，但在那个年代知识和文化不算什么。而且我父亲也羞于拿知识和文化跟我交流。他一生都是一个沉默寡言的人。
小时候，觉得我的父亲没有别人的父亲那么强大，那么能给我带来快乐。因为总看见别人的爸爸把孩子举过头顶，哈哈笑着，拿胡子扎他。我从来没有，那时候会觉得失望。再大一些，男孩会到反叛期，会调皮，很多父亲会教训他们的儿子，甚至于暴打。可是那个时候我爸一声不吭，于是我特得意：哈哈，我爸才是我真正想要的那一个。
然后再大了，他几乎失去了在我生活里的位置。因为我人生的任何一个阶段，都是我自己来做决断，我听不见他的教诲。但这不是他的问题，因为我从来没有发问。因为从小到大，我没有这样一个概念，有什么需要去问爸爸。
等他去世了，我会慢慢开始理解他，因为我也有了儿子。我会想：他究竟是怀着怎样一颗平静而安详的心度过了这一生？他看起来平静而邋遢。我知道他是一个美好的人。非常非常美好，他放弃了一切争取自由的机会，他放弃了自己所有的想法。他让我知道什么是承担。我为我一度瞧不起他而羞愧。他非常伟大。

它解决了我生命里的大部分问题，比如我无法和自己沟通的时候，就需要借助表演。
对于工作的专注，恰巧释放了我在表演上的压力。在和角色交流的过程中，能感受到生命交流的快乐时，我才发现，演戏原来是这样。
我一部戏大约要拍五百场，镜头条数大概在三千到四千条。每拍一个镜头都要放下利益得失、喜怒哀乐，回到零。长时间地这么做好像一种修行，如果你给自己下一个命令，尽量平静而愉悦，生活会改变许多。
我能为演戏活着，但我不能为了活着演戏。简单地说，我能为一件假的、不存在的事付出我的生命，但是我绝不能为我的生命“付出”虚伪。
一个好演员首先得是一个安静的观众。你们想看戏吗？我把我的眼睛借给你们，我把我的耳朵借给你们，我把我的手借给你们，我甚至把我的嘴唇都借给你们，我带你们去。有时眼睛所表达的并非眼睛所看到的，而是看这双眼睛所“想”的。
其实一出戏是由观众和演员共同完成的，我借助的只是我的身体、我的表情、我的感受，但是怎么理解是观众自己想象的。说得简单一点儿，就像画不是一个人画出来的，是一个画的人和一个看的人共同完成的。
一个人看待事物的观点和所处的位置是最重要的，主体从来就没变过，只不过所处的角度不一样，所以就有了恶魔与天使、邪恶与善良……我觉得人性很复杂，我理解它就是兽性和人性的“调试比例”。如果我们能够本着拍《动物世界》的角度来拍摄人，我觉得这个世界才是一个准确的世界，一个比较真的世界。
