Book Abstract

纳兰性德（1655～1685）是清代最杰出的词人之一。三百多年来，他的作品为众多学者、词人、评论家和读者所推崇，在词学界有很大的影响。近年来，研究纳兰词的工作也有较大的发展，已经出版了多种版本的《纳兰词》（或名《通志堂词》，《饮水词》），《纳兰性德年谱》、《纳兰性德传》，还在备种刊物、学报上发表了大量研究论文。然而由于有关纳兰性德的直接的原始数据不多，所以对纳兰性德的生平事迹，我们所知道的仍是一个笼统的、大致的轮廓。尤其是性德早年的恋爱事迹，还很少有人作深入的研究。本文的目的，是根据纳兰性德本人在诗词中透露出来的一鳞半爪的线索，对他早年的恋情作一些探测，构划出一个大致的情况。“姑妄言之姑听之”，也许对理解性德早年的一些爱情词不是完全没有作用的。
据清人笔记，性德早年与其表妹相爱。后来表妹被选入宫，性德伪装成喇嘛僧，入宫与她桕见云云[李雷《纳兰性德》（台湾云龙出版社1999年出版）对此有较详细的描写]。小说家之言，多有杜撰夸大之处，不可信以为真。但也不能断言完全属于子虚乌有。从性德的词作中仔细查考，也可以发现一些蛛丝马迹。性德有一首《凤凰台上忆吹箫·守岁》词：
锦瑟何年，香屏此夕，东风吹送相思。记巡檐笑罢，共捻梅枝。还向烛花影里，催教看燕蜡鸡丝。如今但、一编宵夜，冷暖谁知？
当时。欢娱见惯，道岁岁琼筵，玉漏如斯。怅难寻旧约，枉费新词。次第朱幡剪彩，冠儿侧、斗转蛾儿。重验取、卢郎青鬓，未觉春迟。
一般女子，即使是普通亲友家的女子，是不可能到别人家中去守岁的。因此，词中所写的到性德家中去守岁的，最可能的是他姑舅家的女儿，也就是他的表妹。而且从“欢娱见惯”、“岁岁琼筵，玉漏如斯”可以想象出他与表妹经常在一起。青梅竹马，两小无猜。后来所以“难寻旧约”，正是由于表妹被选为宫女之故。不过，宫女过一定年岁，尚有放归的可能。所以性德没有绝望。而且自己年纪尚轻。他等待着，盼望表妹放归后能与他结为夫妇。
故日：“重验取、卢郎青鬓，未觉春迟。”
表妹入宫后，偶尔还有书信给性德。不过这是难得有机会的。所以性德在采桑子词中写道：
彤云久绝飞琼字，人在谁边？人在谁边？今夜玉清眠不眠？
香销被冷残灯灭，静数秋天，静数秋天，又误心期到下弦。以玉清仙境喻皇宫，以仙女许飞琼喻宫女，是最贴切不过的了。
康熙十五年，性德二十二岁，考中进士，被授予三等侍卫之职。后又晋升为一等侍卫，成为康熙帝的贴身心腹。他经常出入宫中，终于有机会看见身为宫女的表妹。他在减字木兰花词中描写了他们初次在宫中重逢的情景：
相逢不语，一朵芙蓉着秋雨。小晕红潮，斜鬟心只风翘。
待将低唤，直为凝情恐人见。欲诉幽怀，转回阑叩玉钗。
这时性德虽已结婚，而且夫妇之间感情甚笃，但与表妹初恋之情毕竟未能忘怀。然而他连低地地叫唤一声都不敢。表妹也只是在转过回阑以后用玉钗敲敲阑干，以表示她的情意。
