放下电话，张青染更加不安了。他觉得自己的不安很可笑。明知如此，仍是不安，他下楼推了自行车，想去刘仪公司看看。外面风大，又飞着细雨，冷得他发抖。可是半路上，他又折回来了。什么事都没有，跑去干什么？别人真的要笑话了。时间也不早了，来回一趟至少一个小时，下午上班会迟到的。下午上班时间一到，他就马上拨了刘仪的电话。还是没人接。后来又打过几次，都只听见长长的嘟嘟声。张青染有些紧张了，满脑子稀奇古怪的想法。坐在对面的李处长看出些什么了，嘿嘿笑道，老婆被人拐了吧？我说老婆不要找太漂亮的。张青染故作坦荡说，哪里哪里，巴不得谁拐走她，我也乐得解放。她说中午去看看洗衣机，看中了再打电话给我。怎么总不打电话来呢？哦，是这样？你家洗衣机要换代了？张青染敷衍着，是的，国产的还是不行。两人就着这个话题，议论国产货的质量问题，很快就下班了。回到家里，见麦娜带着他的儿子琪琪在搭积木。琪琪喊声爸爸，又顾自己玩去了。妈妈呢？张青染问道。琪琪已全神贯注，不再抬头。麦娜说，姐还没有回来。张青染到厨房看看，见麦娜已做好了饭菜。六点半过了，仍不见刘仪回来。张青染说，麦娜你来得及吗？你先吃饭算了。麦娜才说没事的，就有人打她的传呼了。麦娜回电话。来电话的是麦娜她们时装模特队的伙伴狐狸。狐狸要她找一找猫儿。麦娜把自己裹进皮大衣里，说下楼去打个传呼。张青染叫她在家里打算了，这么冷的天。麦娜说声没事的，就出去了。她从来不在家里打传呼，说不想让任何外人知道家里的电话号码。好一阵子麦娜才回来。张青染见她神色不对，问怎么了？麦娜说，猫儿不见了。狐狸今天打她一天传呼，都不见她回机。我刚才打了几次，她也不回。不会有事吧。张青染抬头望着麦娜。麦娜背靠门站着，心神不宁，说，不会有事就好。麦娜身高一米七八，比张青染还要高出一头。麦娜她们模特队共六位姑娘，除了麦娜、狐狸、猫儿，还有老鹰、水蛇、相思豆。张青染不曾见过她们，只偶尔听麦娜讲起，一色美轮美奂。麦娜本名叫麦菊英，一定也有一个外号，只是张青染不知道。麦娜说，我不吃饭了。猫儿不见了，我们必须早点儿会面，节目组合要更改。说着就进卧室化妆去了。不一会儿，出来的是一位冷艳而孤傲的美人儿。张青染几乎要倒抽一口凉气。麦娜你怎么一化妆就冷若冰霜了？是吗？麦娜微笑着轻声应道。可这笑容竞凄婉如残照。小心一点，早点回来。张青染嘱咐着。麦娜应了声，提着行头出门了。过了一会儿，刘仪回来了。她一进门就抬头看看墙壁上的石英钟，说，回来晚了。张青染默不做声，进厨房热饭菜。刘仪抱一下儿子，说，青染你热饭菜要一会儿的，我干脆冲个澡。张青染也不理，只顾自己。饭菜热好了，刘仪还在洗澡。这么冷的天，怎么进屋就想起要洗澡了？刘仪洗完澡，又慢条斯理地把脏衣服往洗衣机里放。张青染很不快，沉沉地嚷了一句，饭菜再热一次就成猪食了。好了好了，来啦。晚一点回来你就这么恼火？张青染指一指石英钟，说，是晚一点点吗？刘仪不再搭话，盛了饭埋头吃了起来。琪琪望一望爸妈，也不敢讲话了。一顿饭就沉闷地吃着。只有洗衣机在哐当哐当响。张青染想起下午同李处长即兴扯谎，讲到买洗衣机，真是好笑。穷得打酸屁了，还说要买进口洗衣机。吃完饭，刘仪收拾碗筷。还没忙完，琪琪已在沙发上打瞌睡了。张青染心里有气，懒得去管。刘仪见了，擦净手上油腻，倒水给琪琪洗了脸，抱他上床睡了。刘仪忙完厨房的事，给男人倒了热水。张青染却不领情，坐在那里纹丝不动。刘仪便做起温柔来。怎么了嘛，你又发什么神经？这样下去，我不神经也要神经了。张青染起了高腔。怎么啦，我怎样了嘛。刘仪还是温柔着。从中午起就不见任何人，干什么去了？刘仪愣了一下，霍地站了起来。好啊好啊，你一发神经就把我往坏处想。我干什么去了？我班也不上，陪人家睡觉去了！这下你舒服了吗？张青染气鼓鼓地拍着沙发，叫道，舒服！很舒服，今冬不是流行墨绿色吗，人家穿墨绿色皮衣，墨绿色西装，我正好没钱，只要一顶绿帽子就满足了。刘仪冷冷笑道，好，可以，你这么喜欢绿帽子，我让人给你批发一打！张青染脸也不洗，就回房上床了。刘仪自己洗漱完，又过意不去，仍旧拧了毛巾去卧室给男人擦脸。却故意说气话，别弄脏了我的被子。张青染死人一样，任刘仪摆弄，心却软了下来。刘仪先是背靠着男人睡，挨了一会儿，还是反过身来搂着男人。你呀，过不了几天又会发一回神经，也不问个青红皂白。把我往坏处想，你就舒服些？人家吴科长要我陪她去买衣服，我怎么好不去？她又是个挑三拣四的人，全城所有商场逛完才看中一件。刘仪便把过程细说一遍。说完又委屈起来，说，不信你现在就打电话给她，人家不笑你小家子气才怪哩！张青染也不说相信不相信，只道，你们公司难怪连年亏损。财会科长跟会计可以成天不上班去逛商场。不亏才怪！刘仪不以为然，说，这不是我一个小小会计管的事。P2-4
